CHALMERS, Ruberta A.

Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona Published Thursday, July 9, 2009 9/03/1932 - 7/01/2009 Ruberta was born in Piermont, N.H., to Lawrence H. and Rose A. (Stubbard) Pike. She had one brother Burton G. Pike. For most of her life she lived and worked in the Bradford, Vt., area. She attended schools in Bradford, worked as a book keeper/accountant and office worker/manager and was a member of Grace Methodist Church there most of her life. On Aug. 19, 1950 she married Wayne R. Chalmers. They had two daughters, Roxanne (1953) and Cindy (1954). She retired in May, 1995 and moved to Lake Havasu City to be near her daughter. Ruberta was predeceased by her parents, brother, and daughter Roxanne. She is survived by her husband, Wayne; daughter, Cindy; two sister-in-laws and several nieces and nephews. Ruberta had many friends in both Bradford, Vt., and Lake Havasu City. Services will be held at Lake Havasu Mortuary and Crematory on 2225 N. Kiowa Blvd., Lake Havasu City, AZ today at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family wishes people to make a contribution to either the Western Arizona Humane Society, 1100 Empire Drive, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403 or the American Cancer Society in her memory.
