ALCOSER, Valeria

(Maiden Name: Ibarra)


Valeria Alcoser, 92, went to be with Our Heavenly Father on April 30, 2010. Valeria was born in El Pilar, Mexico to Fermin and Cencepcion Ibarra. She married Ramon in 1936. To this union, ten children were born; Elida Urbina (Jesus), Juanita Carbajal, Ramon Jr. (Lily), Emma Longoria, Jose (Rita), and Rosa Reyna (Valentin). Valeria was preceded in death by her husband, Ramon, of 72 years; daughter, Minnie Pesina, married to Dale, and her three children who died in their toddler years, Leandro, Tomas and Rosa Elia; and sons-in-law, Manuel Carbajal and Pedro Longoria. Ramon and Valeria migrated to different states following and seeking work. They homesteaded in Rillito, Arizona in 1949. In 1965, they relocated to Nyssa, Oregon where they both worked doing field labor. Valeria worked at American Fine Foods and also for Ore-Ida Foods until ill health forced her to retire. Ramon and Valeria returned to Rillito in 1996 to live out the rest of their lives. Valeria will be greatly missed by her six children; 27 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Maria Gutierrez; and many nephews, nieces and friends. The family would like to thank all of the working angels of Casa de La Luz Hospice Care for their loving and kind care to our mother. We would also like to thank Martha, our mother's wonderful caregiver for always being kind and patient and treating our mother with respect and love. Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 4, 2010, 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at St. Christopher Parish, 12101 Moore Road, Marana, AZ., with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be offered Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Hope Cemetery.
