From the Arizona Daily Star (August 3, 2009): ALEGRIA, Maria S., 97, passed away July 28, 2009. Preceded in death by her husband, Ramon C. Alegria; daughter, Delia Garry. Survived by daughter, Lillian (Louie) Gradillas, Erlinda Alegria, Lydia Alegria and Aida (Elias) Castillo; son, Alex (Marlene) Alegria. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, godchildren, six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 05, 2009 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at CARRILLO'S TUCSON MORTUARY (North Chapel) 204 S. Stone Ave., with a Rosary recited at 9:30 a.m. Mass will follow, 10:30 a.m. at St. Augustine's Cathedral, 192 S. Stone Ave. Interment at Holy Hope Cemetery.
