Obituary, Arizona Daily Star, 15 Feb 2003 Michael Lorenzo Barreda, 17, of Sahuarita, passed away on Monday, February 10, 2003. He was born in Santa Ana, CA on August 30, 1985. He was a junior at Sahuarita High School. He loved to dance, draw, and make people laugh. Michael's goal was to graduate high school and join the Marines. He always said "Kings only live once". Michael is survived by his parents, Gabriel and Elizabeth Barreda; sister, Jessica; brother, Mario; his grandparents, Anita Lopez and Ernesto Chavez and Lorenzo (Josephine) Barreda; nephew, Alexander Barreda; and his favorite tia's and tio's, Monica (Frank) Santamaria, Ernie (Anne) Chavez, Larry (Mona) Barreda, Terry (Roger) Blanar, Steve (Cecilia) Barreda, Gilbert (Allison) Barreda; and many cousins and many friends. He will be missed dearly by all. And we will never forget his beautiful smile. Wake will be 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday, February 17, at Advantage Mortuary, 7 E. University Blvd. Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 18, at St. John's Church. Burial at Holy Hope Cemetery and Mausoleum.
