BERNAL, Elvira

Elvira Quijada Bernal, 91, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away, comforted by her daughter, grandchildren and great-grandchildren on November 24, 2009. She was born in Fairbank, Arizona on December 20, 1917. She is preceded in death by her husband, Refugio "Cuco", who went to be with the Lord on March 14, 1981. She is survived by her daughter, Socorro "Coyo" (Rosalio); grandchildren, Johnny (Irene), Ruth (Edward), Mario (Lisa), Chris (Brenda) and great-grandchildren, Johnny Jr., Angelica, Daniel, Christian, Mario Jr. and Lyssabella. Elvira was a devout Christian blessed with a youthful mind, loving heart and vibrant spirit. She touched many lives and will be missed dearly. Elvira was a dedicated wife, mother and homemaker and she committed her life to sharing the word of the Lord, the importance of family, and her wisdom. She was happiest spending time with her family. We have shared wonderful and joyous moments with her and have extraordinary memories of a life well lived. "Te queremos mucho Nana y siempre estarás en nuestros corazones. Descanse en la Gloria de Dios con mi Tata." Visitation will be held Monday, November 30, 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at CARRILLO'S TUCSON MORTUARY (South Chapel) located at 240 S. Stone Ave., with a Vesper Service at 7:00 p.m. Final Service will be offered on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at 10:00 a.m., at CARRILLO'S TUCSON MORTUARY (South Chapel).
