Christine R. Darby of Sedona passed away June 25. She was born to Fred and Hedwig Knipping.
Mrs. Darby work at Ford Motor Company for 24 years, retiring in 1980.
She was a member of the Bogart Memorial Reformed Church for 49 years. She served on the Consistory as Deacon, then Elder for many terms and sang in the choir. She was President of the Fellowship for Christian Women, volunteered at the Reformed Church in Irvington, New Jersey where she was President of the Forthrighters.
She served on the Bogota Board of Health, two terms as President, volunteered at the Bixby School in the Library and volunteered on the election board as a challenger. She also volunteered with the Republican Club, starting at the age of 16. Mrs. Darby also served two terms as President of the Womans Club of Bogota, District 9.
She loved to travel throughout Europe.
She is survived by her lovng son H. Douglas Darby (Barbara) of Lake Montezuma; a loving daughter Christine Christine Koehler (Bob) of Longmont, Colorado; four grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Private family services will be held with interment in New Jersey.
