The Verde Independent, Cottonwood, AZ Saturday, June 26, 2010 Betty Jo Milner 1933 - 2010 Betty Jo Milner, 76, a resident of Cottonwood, AZ, passed away surrounded by loved ones while visiting friends in Ft. Worth, TX. Shaw, Mom, Aunt Jo and dear friend to many, was born June 19, 1933 in Prescott, AZ. She was the daughter of Frank and Carolyn (Bryan) Kaufman. She was raised on the Double Rafter 1 Ranch, east of Mayer, AZ, where her father and grandparents homesteaded. Jo was an avid bowler and especially loved traveling, sewing, knitting, crocheting, quilt making and was known for her passion of the outdoors and all plant life. Her strength of character, keen intelligence and ready laugh made her a cherished resource and a guiding beacon to her family and friends who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister; Martha Van Tilborg and a baby brother Henry Kaufman. She was the mother of Dave (Ann) Milner of Empire, CO, Sue Culbreath of Davenport, IA, and Roger (Kim) Milner of Idaho Springs, CO. Grandmother (Shaw) to Erik, Stephanie, Rebecca, and Bryan Milner, Drew (Niki) and Bret Lacher and Shawn (Kim) and Sara Cahalan. A loving aunt/mom to Butch (Becky) Van Tilborg, Lynn (Camp) Armer, Rich (Linda) Van Tilborg, including their extended families. Great grandmother to Ryenne and Brooklyn, Lacher, Jon and Michael Cahalan, and waiting for the arrivals of Hayden Lacher and baby Cahalan. A private service will be held at a later date.
