Mary L. Carrasco 88, of Coolidge AZ, Paso Robles, CA, Tucson, AZ, and Sahuarita, AZ passed away September 29, 2007.
Mary was born to a pioneer ranching family in Tucson. She spent her life devoted to family, ranching and cotton farming. Mary was instrumental in the development of St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church in Sahuarita, where she also taught Catechism for several years. Preceded in death by husband, Joseph J. Carrasco; parents, Rudolph and Clara Soto and sister, Hortencia De Soto. Mother of three children, Joseph of Paso Robles, CA; Bridget Parker of Coolidge, AZ and Yvonne Clay of Tucson, AZ. Two grandchildren also survive their "Granny", Joseph Parker of Coolidge, and Matthew Clay of Tucson. Also family friend, John T. Harris of Sahuarita, AZ; and brother, Rudolph Soto, Jr.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 4, 2007, 8:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m., CARRILLO'S TUCSON MORTUARY (North Chapel) 204 S. Stone Ave., with Rosary recited at 9:00 a.m. Mass will follow at 10:30 a.m., St. Augustine's Cathedral, 192 S. Stone Ave. Interment at Holy Hope Cemetery. Arrangements by CARRILLO'S TUCSON MORTUARY.
