The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 04/28/2006 Nancy Estelle Gellner, 59, of Show Low died April 22, 2006 at her home in Linden. She was born in Jamestown, New York. She was the youngest of two children born to Milton and Elvira Johnson. She attended school in Jamestown. She loved music, and at an early age started playing in the school band. She was able to travel with the band to Washington, D.C., where she had the honor of meeting President Johnson. After high school, she attended college and became a schoolteacher. In 1967, she met her future husband, David Gellner and they were married June 29, 1968. Both David and Nancy taught at many Christian schools across the country. They moved to Show Low in 2000. Nancy taught at the American Indian Christian Mission in Linden. Her love of music has followed her, as she sung in the church choir. She loved the scriptures, and found peace studying and spending time in the Bible. Nancy leaves behind her husband, David, and two sons, Eric and Jon. Two funeral services will be held. The first will be at 2 p.m. Friday, April 28 at the American Indian Christian Mission in Linden. The second service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 29 at the Tri-City Alliance Church in Tempe. Burial will be at 3:30 p.m. at the Valley of the Sun Memorial Park in Chandler.
