Madelyn Marie Coco 98, passed away October 12, 2007.
Born June 28, 1909 in Rochester, New York, daughter of Leonard and Josephine Crino, Madelyn moved to Tucson with her family in 1952. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of St. Francis of Assisi and was a Preschool Teacher for many years. She was adored by parents and students and always made each and every one feel special and loved. She was an artist, a wonderful cook, loved to garden, enjoyed bowling and being with family and friends. Madelyn was a gracious, warm, caring woman and always had a loving smile and good thought to share. She will be missed dearly by those whose lives she touched.
Madelyn is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Anthony J. Coco; two loving children; daughter, Joanne Crichton of Long Beach and son, Leonard of Tucson; brothers, Michael Crino and Sam Crino; and sister, Josephine Fantaci. She is survived by her son, Anthony of North Tustin; son-in-law, Ron Crichton of Long Beach, daughter-in-law, Cindy Coco of Tucson; and grandchildren, Christine Crichton and Craig (Jen) Crichton, all of California; grandson, Wayne (Ute) Coco and their children, Hanna and Max of Germany, and granddaughter, "Coco" of Colorado; two step grandchildren and five step great-grandchildren. The family wishes to extend their appreciation for the loving and exceptional care given to Madelyn by all the staff of Cypress Court and Manor Care of Tucson.
Mass will be offered 10:30 a.m., Thursday, October 25, 2007 at St. Augustine Cathedral, 192 S. Stone Avenue. Burial to follow in Holy Hope Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 24, 2007 at BRING'S MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 236 S. Scott, with Rosary recited at 4:00 p.m. Mess and Rosary will be officiated by her nephew, Father Pat Crino.
