David Lee Goodloe, 73 of Snowflake, died April 25, 2006 at RTA Hospice and Palliative Care in Lakeside.
Dave was born in Indianapolis, Ind., the second of six children. He moved with his family to El Mont, Calif. at an early age and attended grade school and high school there. After high school he started working in a cattle ranch in Falon, Nev. He loved to ride motorcycles, and compete in rodeos.
He later moved to Oregon and was a logger for a time. While he was in Oregon, Dave became the Chairman of the Republican Party in The State of Oregon. He became very active in the political world during the '60s and met people such as Ronald Reagan, John Wayne and Herb Philbrick. Dave moved to Virginia where he was a Political Consultant to Jerry Falwell and became active in managing campaigns for Congressional candidates.
In 1982 Dave moved to Arizona. He managed several campaigns for political nominees during his first several years here. Dave eventually left the political arena after 35 years and retired in 1990. To keep busy, he had several successful business ventures. He even was a business partner and good friends with Ladmo, of the Wallace and Ladmo Show. He moved to Snowflake in 1999 and has been doing work for the Lord ever since.
David is survived by the love of his life, Marilyn McGuire; eight children, Russ, Sheila, Nathan, Jenny-Lou, Theresa, Cathy, Michael, and Scotty; and 15 grandchildren.

A memorial service for David Goodloe will be held Sunday, May 21, 2006 at the New Hope Christian Fellowship. A luncheon reception will be at 12:30 p.m. with the memorial service beginning at 2 p.m. Refreshments will be served following the service.
The services will be hosted by the New Hope Christian Fellowship, which meets in the Seventh-day Adventist Church located at 701 S. 8th Ave., Show Low
