Iola Mae Ward, 91, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2009, in Lake Havasu City. She was born on Aug. 16, 1917, in Burney, Ind., to Lloyd and Mae (Champ) Pumphrey.
 
Iola was a homemaker, raising a son. She enjoyed reading and working crossword puzzles. She was a member of First Southern Baptist Church.

Iola is survived by her son David Face and grandson Nathan; she had four brothers and one sister and nieces, Ruth Offutt and Carol Theobald.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday at 6 p.m., at First Southern Baptist Church with Deacon Leroy Smith officiating.
