DAVIS, Robert (Bob) Edward


From the Arizona Daily Star (August 9, 2009): DAVIS, Robert (Bob) Edward, 84, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2009. Born in Chicago on September 21, 1924. Robert flew P-38's during WWII spending most of his assignment in Italy from 1944-1945. A graduate of the University of Illinois, he culminated his career working for the U.S. Agency for International Development program as a civil engineer. His career took him to many countries including Peru, El Salvador, Guatemala, Jordan, Indonesia and the Philippines, as well as various locations in the States. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Blanche. He is also survived by his two children, Sandy and Bob; daughter-in-law, Yoli and four grandchildren, Danielle, Heath, Tyler and Paulina. A memorial to Bob's life will be conducted on the eighth of September at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, you may send a donation to "Peppi's House" hospice at TMC.
