Homer J (Chick)
Homer J. "Chick" DeChaine, born in Palmer, Massachusetts on November 23, 1919, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on May 29, 2010.
Chick, the sixth child born to Arthur and Albina DeChaine was preceded in death by Mary Ellen DeChaine, his wife of 44 years and the mother of his five children, Sharon, William, Jacqueline, John, and Patricia. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife of 15 years, Edith Lyons DeChaine.
Frances Nevarez DeChaine joined his family and has lovingly shared in his life for the past three years.
Chick served his country in World War II and fought valiantly in the Battle of the Bulge. He touched many lives in his 90 years, and is truly a blessing to all who knew and loved him.
Mass will be offered at noon, Monday, June 7, 2010 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 300 S. Tucson Blvd. Visitation 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m., Sunday, June 6, 2010 at BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway with Rosary recited at 2:30 p.m., followed by the Knights of Columbus Chalice Ceremony. Interment will be in Holy Hope Cemetery with Military Honors by American Legion Post #66 Color Guard. Reception to follow at Knights of Columbus #1200, 601 S. Tucson Blvd.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Knights of Columbus.
