Obituary Arizona Daily Star 26 October 2002
Lillian Shipman DiDonato
"Lill"
On October 24, 2002, Lillian carried the grace of the Spirit from this world to another. She has finally returned to the loving arms of her husband and sons. She is now warmed in the light of our Heavenly Father. Lill is survived by her children and grandchildren who shall always hold her memory close to their hearts. Born May 15, 1921 in Alabama, Lillian experienced the joy of farm life and the love of a close family. She completed her nurses training at Bryce Hospital and then later joined the Navy. Her career carried her to American Samoa, Philippines, Fiji Islands, Hawaii and the dear Soil of the United States. A resident of Tucson for over 40 years, Lill favored the southwest and carried this inspiration into many of her pottery and paintings. Her talent, wisdom, generosity and kindness touched so many. Lillian and her legacy shall always be admired and her presence among us dearly missed.
A visitation will be held at St. Ambrose Church, 300 S.
