Obituary, Arizona Daily Star, 16 Mar 2003 Ruben R. Dominguez, 68, passed away peacefully at home on March 8, 2003, surrounded by his family and listening to his beloved UofA Wildcats. He was born on October 29, 1934 in Tombstone. He graduated from Tombstone High School where he was an outstanding four-sport athlete. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served honorably four years as an Air Policeman. In 1959, he married his loving and beautiful wife, Josephine Flores, moved to Tucson, and started their family. While in Tucson he enjoyed playing baseball for numerous years with the "Los Commerciales" baseball team and following UofA athletics. He retired from construction work in 1990. His father, Abram; brother, Manuel; sister, Eugenia; son, Charlie and daughter, Sylvia precede him in death. Survived by his mother, Carmen; wife, Josie; sons, Raymond, Adam; daughters, Elizabeth (Carl), Roberta (Troy), Rosie (Jose), Patricia (Wrangler), Paula (Manny); brothers, Abram, Abel (Madge), Ron (Teri); sisters, Mary Lou (Richard), Adeline (Larry); numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. All will miss his sense of humor. "BEAR DOWN" my brother for you are finally at peace we love you. A Mass will be offered on Monday, March 17, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at Santa Cruz Church, 1220 S. 6th. Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations to The American Cancer Society in his name are appreciated. Burial to follow at Holy Hope Cemetery.
