ARIZONA DAILY STAR OBITUARY - 01/14/2005
Harold "Hank" Floyd, 77, passed away on January 10, 2005 after a brief and courageous battle with cancer.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Gloria; daughters, Cheryl Curtis and Robyn (Bryan) Schanafelt; son, Hank (Tami) Floyd Jr. Also survived by nine cherished grandchildren. Hank was preceded in death by his brother, Ed; sister, Dale. He was born in Livermore, Kentucky in 1927. He joined the Navy in 1943 and re-enlisted in 1947 so he could watch over his younger brother. While on his way to California, he stopped off in Tucson and fell in love with the culture and his bride "Glo". He opened a small office machine business in the family garage, which grew into a successful operation. Hank knew what life was about! The simple things loving and caring for his family, morning walks, a good cup of coffee, helping out a neighbor and a cold beer. We will miss his contagious laugh, gentle manner and happy heart.
