Maria Carmen Frias July 16, 1919 - April 12, 2010 Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend has put up a great fight throughout her borrowed time here and passed away peacefully with her family at her side on April 12, 2010, finding her place in heaven. Carmen was a woman who touched the hearts of many, those lucky to have met her. She will be greatly missed and remembered for her generosity, intelligence and loving nature. Her greatest achievement was the creation of her family, 12 children, 80 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Carmen was preceded in death by spouse, Frank Ochoa; son, Celso Gastelum Jr.; siblings, Perfecto Jaimez, Mauricia Mijalca, Marcelina Tapia, Juana Romero; and grandson, Roland Varela. Survived by sister, Augustina Gallardo; and all her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Memorial Service will be held at San Ignacio Church (Old Pascua) at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 18, 2010, Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Monday Mass at 9:00 a.m. and burial to follow at Holy Hope Cemetery at 10:30 a.m. Published in the Tucson Newspapers on April 17, 2010
