MEYERS, Harvey Christian Jr.

MEYERS, Harvey Christian, Jr., Born July 25, 1921 at Chicago, IL. He passed on to eternal life on September 26, 2007, in Tucson, AZ at age 86. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, June. He attended Northwestern University and served his country in the United States Army-Air Force as a Sergeant. He worked most of his career as an executive at Sears, Roebuck & Co. Harvey and June retired to Green Valley, AZ later moving to "The Fountains" in Tucson. He is succeeded by his son, Harvey C. Meyers III (Mary Joy), two grandchildren, Peter Meyers (Shari) and Julie Meyers (John Nye) and great-grandchildren, Alyson and Emily Meyers (Peter and Shari). He is also succeeded by his brother, Jean (Cathy), his sister, Delores Cornell (Bob) and brother, Charles (Sylvia). He and his wife, June were longtime members of Yorkfield Presbyterian Church, Elmhurst, IL and Green Valley Presbyterian Church, Green Valley, AZ. Internment will be at Green Valley Presbyterian Church. Arrangements by DESERT SUNSET FUNERAL HOME. Published in the Tucson on 10/3/2007.
