Paul T. Edwards, 53, passed away September 25 in Tucson, Arizona surrounded by loving family and embraced by God.
Paul had many roles in his life: Son, Brother, Father, Husband, Architect and Artist, Mentor and Listener, Music Lover, Dancer and Hiker. He was born in England in 1954, graduated from the University of Arizona College of Architecture in 1981, and lived in Tucson his entire adult life. His vision and heart are displayed in various public art projects around Tucson, including the "Sun Circle" along the Rillito River Walk, the "Sand Trout" on Tanque Verde, "Silver Linings" at Tucson Airport, the Gates Pass Overlook and the colorful retaining walls on First Avenue between River and Orange Grove roads. He immersed himself in Arizona's many natural wonders, including the Gila Wilderness, Aravaipa Canyon, the North Kaibab Trail in Grand Canyon, and the Chiricahuas. His well worn back pack and hiking boots are a testament to his love of the desert and its unique and spiritual beauty. Paul is survived by his wife, Joyce Kelly, his daughter Lindsay Edwards and her mother JoAnn, his mother Betty and sister Carol of Tucson and father Robert (Diane) of Mesa, and so many colleagues, collaborators, and fellow adventurers.
