John Edwin Moore, 74, of Heber-Overgaard died Friday, May 5, at RTA Hospice in Lakeside.
Moore was born Jan. 7, 1932, at Columbus, Ohio, the son of Clarence and Helen (Dale) Moore. He was reared and attended school in Columbus where he graduated from North High School in 1950. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and served in Korea. He was married to the former Donna O'Rourke on Valentine's Day of 1966 at Lancaster, Ohio.
He was employed by Pfeifer Printing as a bookbinder for 34 years. He retired and moved to Arizona in 1980, and lived in Scottsdale until coming to Heber-Overgaard in 2001 where he enjoyed fishing and camping. He was a member of Lodge No. 43, Ancient, Free and Accepted Masons and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 3513 both of Scottsdale.
He is survived by two daughters, Crystal (Lance) Anderson of Heber-Overgaard; Dawn ( Kevin) Wildes of Mesa; three grandchildren, Ethan, Jacob and Aubrey Anderson all of Heber-Overgaard.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
Services will be at 1 p.m., Friday, May 12, at Green Acres Mortuary in Scottsdale. Local arrangements were handled by Black's Mortuary of Show Low. You may light a memory candle at www.blacksmortuary.com.
