Erminio Alesii Born in Picenze (L'Aquila) Italy on September 14, 1912, he emigrated to the U.S. in 1961 and was joined a year later by his wife Maria and sons Aldo and Bruno, then in 1967 by his oldest daughter Lisa, husband Nello and granddaughters Vergilia and Maria. His daughter Valeria and son in law Paolo and children Tony and Barbara remained in Italy.
He worked at the Italian restaurant Mamma Luisa and later at the UofA until retirement at the age of 62. His retirement years were spent traveling and enjoying seeing his family grow and prosper. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Maria; daughters and sons-in-law Lisa and Nello Morlacci, Valeria and Paolo Segreti, sons and daughters-in-law Aldo and Sharon Alesii and Bruno and Julia Alesii. He's remembered as well by granddaughters Ginny, husband Steve Forrest and their children Lisa and Tommy, granddaughter Maria Morlacci, granddaughter Mamie and husband Allen Cook and their baby Sophia, grandson Tony Segreti and Lorena and son Niccolo and daughter Irena, granddaughter Barbara and husband Pasquale Mottola and children Andrea and Davide, granddaughters Cristina and Patricia Alesii, grandsons Erminio and Andres Alesii as well as numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends all over the world in the U.S., France, Italy and Australia.
Visitation 9:00 a.m. with a service at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 2, 2007 at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY , 5401 S. Park with burial to follow at SOUTH LAWN CEMETERY.
