"Hattie Allen 1909-2003 Hattie Allen, of Willcox and formerly of Tucson, died Aug. 17, 2003 at the age of 94. She was born in Fort Worth, Texas on April 7, 1909 to Joseph and Augustine Matzner. Hattie was a homemaker and has lived in Willcox for the last four years. She was a member of the Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Tucson and was involved in the Golden Hour and Marion Guild at the church. She also attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Willcox. Survivors include her daughter Margaret (James) Tout of Willcox; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Her husband Alexander; her son James Clarke Allen; and a grandson Edwin Allen Tout, predeceased her. Funeral Mass will be offered today, Wednesday, Aug. 20, at 10 a.m. at the Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 1946 E. Lee Street in Tucson, with burial to follow in the South Lawn Cemetery in Tucson. Contributions may be made to the Charles Wm. Leighton, Jr. Hospice, 319 W. Grant, Willcox, Ariz, 85643. Services are under the direction of Westlawn Chapel, Mortuary & Crematorium of Willcox."
