Everette H Oglesby died June 17
Everette H Oglesby, 87, died June 17, 1992 at his home in Ajo.
Mr. Oglesby was born in Waxahatchie, Texas, June 5, 1905, the son of Willie H and Mable (Wells) Oglesby. He came to Arizona in 1936 from Fort Worth, Texas.
Mr. Oglesby was employed as a crusher repairman for Phelps Dodge Corporation until his retirement in 1970.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Mr. Oglesby was preceded in death by his daughter, Cathalene Cowert. He is survived by his wife, Ella Mae (Lollis) Oglesby; his brother, George Oglesby, of Fort Worth, Texas; his daughters, Carolyn Petty of Ajo and Christine Yarbrough of Odessa, Texas; by his sons, Calvin Oglesby of California, Carlton Oglesby, Clifford Oglesby, and Clayton Oglesby all of Ajo, Leslie Duane Oglesby of Fort Worth, Texas, and Glen Lollis Oglesby of Morenci; and by twenty-one grandchildren, thirty-three gret-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday morning, June 20, by Reverend Alonzo Dale, at the First Baptist Church. Burial was in Ajo Cemetery.
Arrangements were by Douglass Funeral Home.
