Wilbur "Rocky" Albrecht Born in 1933 in Erie, PA. Passed away peacefully in his sleep August 6, 2008 in Tucson.
Survived by wife of 12 years, Cheryl; sons, Michael, Paul, David and Steven; six grandchildren and four great- grandchildren. He was a member of the 82nd Airborne. Rocky married Delores Sherwood in 1951 and kids soon followed. Rocky started painting in local Union 549 in Erie, PA. Work was scarce and in 1977 he and Delores decided it was time for a change and they moved to Tucson. Rocky joined painters Union 86 and was he happy, he loved the southwest with the cactus and even the heat of summer. Delores and Rocky both retired in March of 1995. Delores passed suddenly in October of 1995. He later married Cheryl and they were together to the end. Rocky loved to travel and he and Cheryl were always going somewhere, Hawaii, Tahiti or just back East to visit. Rocky followed Bill W.'s teachings for the last 35 years. May he rest in peace.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday, August 11, 2008 at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Avalon Chapel, 8090 N. Northern Ave. @ Magee. Funeral Mass we be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 8650 N. Shannon Rd. Interment will follow at All Faiths Memorial Park.
