COOLIDGE - Eleanor H. Cruz, 88, of Coolidge died Dec. 26, 2006 in Scottsdale.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Simes Mortuaries Coolidge Chapel. The funeral there will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, with Pastor Richard Dennis officiating. Burial will be in Valley Memorial Park.

Mrs. Cruz was born Sept. 7, 1918 in Casa Grande to Cosme and Francisca (Guido) Hernandez. She was devoted to her family.

Survivors include three sons, Roy Gomez, Daniel and Eugene Cruz, all of Coolidge; three daughters, Rosa Maria Lara of Coolidge, Gloria Nelson and Connie Salazar; a brother, Agustin Hernandez; a sister, Dolores Schock, all of California; 29 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene "Shorty" Cruz; a son, Alfred Gomez Jr.; a daughter, Teresa Garcia; and a brother, Manuel Z. Hernandez.
