From the Arizona Daily Star (November 5, 2009): GILLOOLY, Barbara Y., born August 5, 1931 in Oklahoma City, OK. Proudly served her country in the United States Air Force for five years from 1950 to 1955. Barbara married Edward "Gil" Gillooly and for the next 55 years gave her unconditional love to her family of five adopted children, three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She is now at peace with our Lord in Heaven and will be sadly missed by all that have known and loved her. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2009 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at ADAIR FUNERAL HOME, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd. The Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass to celebrate her life will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, November 6, 2009 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 300 S. Tucson Blvd. Interment to follow at All Faiths Memorial Park located at 2151 S. Avenida Los Reyes. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that any memorials to be sent to St. Ambrose Church in her honor.
