Adele Lucille Henderson, 88, was taken home to be with her LORD Jesus early in the morning of Palm Sunday, March 28, 2010.
She was born January 16, 1922 in McCook, Nebraska, to Bertha Elsie and Charles Arthur Miller. She grew up and lived in Loveland, Colorado and the surrounding communities.
Adele met and married the love of her life, Howard Gentry Henderson, July 20, 1940. They lived in Ft. Collins, Colorado and attended First Christian Church. She was a devoted homemaker and her interests included cooking, family gatherings, and entertaining friends and family.
Adele had a beautiful singing voice and sang for weddings, special events, and belonged to a women's glee club in Englewood, Colorado. She was active as a room mother and member of PTA, den mother of girl and boy scouts, 4-H and other activities. She was devoted to church and family.
Adele and Howard moved to Tucson, Arizona in March, 1980 to enjoy their later years, followed by their retirement.
She is survived by Eldon DeVere Henderson, Phyllis Henderson, Don Henderson, Steve Henderson; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, with one on the way.
Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 pm, Friday, April 2, 2010 at BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, Tucson, AZ. The Funeral Service will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 3, 2010 at BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway,Tucson, AZ with the 2:00 p.m. cemetery service following at All Faith's Cemeteries located at 2151 S. Avenida Los Reyes, Tucson, AZ.
The reception will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom Foyer at Doubletree Hotel Tucson, 445 S. Alvernon Way, Tucson, AZ.
