LANGE, Elton W.


The Arizona Daily Star, 27 February 2010 Elton W. Lange, 10/3/1927 - 2/19/2010 82 years old, passed away surrounded by family. Husband of Ardyce for 58 years. Father of Laura (Brandy) Kadous, Grant and Kevin (Kris). He was a loving grandpa to nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Elton was born on the family farm in Taylor, Michigan, one of six children. Elton served three years with the U.S. Air Force, stationed at Luke Air Force Base 1950-1952 where his love of Arizona began. During that time he went home to Michigan and married Ardyce. They returned to Arizona until his discharge. Upon returning to Michigan, their three children were born. In 1963 the family moved to Arizona. Elton was a heavy equipment operator and truck driver for 50 years. After retirement he and his wife traveled the U.S. coast to coast as well as Canada in their RV, enjoying the beauty of God's creation. In the 1990's he had the opportunity to work for 10 years driving motor homes across country for delivery; he enjoyed driving the big rigs and seeing more of the country. Elton, along with some of his family, was an active member of Power from the Past, an antique tractor and machine club. He was also a long time member of Catalina United Methodist Church since moving to Tucson. A Celebration of his life will be held Monday, March 1, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Catalina United Methodist Church.
