PFISTER, Elizabeth (Bettie)


Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona Published Wednesday, June 24, 2009 Elizabeth “Bettie” Pfister, 85, passed away June 13, 2009. After retiring from her job at the University of Detroit Dental School, Betty successfully operated a competitive swimwear, T-shirt and swimming-supply company in the metropolitan Detroit area for many years. Bettie retired to Lake Havasu City and was a member of the Lake Havasu Community Choir, St. Michael’s United Methodist Church Choir and chime choir, and was a Lay Speaker in the Methodist Church. She was also a member of the London Bridge Republican Women’s Club. Bettie enjoyed crossword puzzles, Agatha Christie mysteries, backpacking on Isle Royale, gabbing and knitting. Bettie was dedicated to and will be greatly missed by her children, Kurt, Sandra, Barry and Pam; grandchildren; great-grandchildren and friends. Her husband, Kurt and grandson, Patrick, preceded her in death. A memorial service will be held at Lietz-Fraze Chapel Saturday at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bettie’s name to the American Lung Association, 102 W.
