COHEN, Steven Louis

Steven Louis Cohen, age 58, of Phoenix, passed away on June 19, 2010. Steve was born in Chicago, Illinois to the late Sonny and Gloria Cohen. Steve was a graduate of Central High in Phoenix and played linebacker and fullback for the undefeated 1969 State Champion Central High Bobcats. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Hotel Management from UNLV and was a Convention Services Manager at the Phoenician Resort. Steve was a lifelong Cubs fan. He enjoyed sports, telling "Bobcat" football stories and riding his jet ski at the lake. He lived for his children and loved all his grandchildren more than anything. Steve is survived by children, Kim (Jeff), Josh and Greg, sister, Ruth, brother, Ron and 7 grandchildren. A service will be held Monday, June 28, 2010 at 4:00 P.M. at Greenwood Memory Lawn Serenity Chapel, 719 N. 27th Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85009. The family will receive friends from 3:00 P.M. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Greenway Baseball, 3930 W. Greenway Rd., Phoenix, AZ 85053.
