PETERS, Louis Martin


Louis Martin Peters, age 91, died at Valley View Medical Center, Ft. Mohave, AZ on Thursday, June 17, 2010. Louis was born October 5, 1918, in Minneapolis, Kansas to Erva Eldon Peters and Augusta Margaret Becker. He graduated in 1936 from Lyons High School in Lyons, Kansas. In 1941 he married Norma Lee Davis and they had two daughters, Sandra and Susan. In 1944 he enlisted in the Navy at which time his wife and daughters moved to California. When he was discharged in 1946 he moved to California, engaged in the hearing aid business until his retirement. He lived there until 1999 when he and his wife moved to Bullhead City, AZ to be close to his daughter Susan. Louis loved to paint and draw and belonged to the River Valley Artists Guild. After his wife died in 2000 he joined the volunteers at Western Arizona Regional Medical Center and the Senior Circle. He made friends easily and enjoyed talking to people. Louis was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter Kim Zmrzel Secor in 1988, his wife Norma in 2000 his daughter Sandra in 2001. He is survived by his daughter, Susan (Jerry)Zmrzel; grandsons Tracy (Tammy)Zmrzel, Steve Relph, and Dan (Linda)Relph; great grandchildren Melissa Zmrzel, Danielle Relph, Andrew Glover, Travis Secor, Cody Zmrzel, Justin Relph, Katie Brasil, Jake Brasil, Gregory Walters and Michael Walters. Local services will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at St. Margaret Mary's Catholic Church, 1691 North Oatman Rd., Bullhead City, AZ 86442 (928)758-7117.
