TORRES, Aurora S.

Aurora S. Torres passed away on December 27, 2004 at YRMC at the age of 87. Aurora was born March 10, 1917 in Patagonia, Arizona to the parents of Hilario and Lucia Sinohui. She was a member of St. Francis os Assisi Church. Aurora was most of all a devoted wife, mother and Na Na. Always known for an open heart, warm food on the table and a ear for listening. She enjoyed gardening, baking, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her children, Anna (Roger) DeCorse, Vincent (Connie) Torres, and Robert (Lenora) Torres; 19 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Vincent Y. Torres; parents; brothers, Pancho, Manuel, Alejandro, and Joe Sinohui; sisters, Amelia Maldanado, Maria Corrales, and Teresita Sinohui; daughter, Lucy Garcia; and grandson, Marcos Garcia. A wake will be held at Johnson Mortuary on Sunday, January 2, 2005 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. with rosary at 7 p.m. Mass will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Church on Monday, January 3, 2005 at 10 a.m. with graveside services following at Desert Lawn. Pallbearers will be Roger DeCorse, Albert DeCorse, Richard DeCorse, Daniel Torres, Vincent Torres, and Michael Torres. Our Mom, Na Na will be greatly missed and will always be in our hearts. We know she will be watching over all of the family with TaTa by her side.
