Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona Published Wednesday, June 3, 2009 Melisa “Lisa” Kay Sugamele, 50, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2009, in Lake Havasu City. She was born on Sept. 7, 1958, in Hawthorne, Calif., to Richard L. and Charlene (Pareskin) Sugamele. Lisa moved to Lake Havasu City seven years ago from Downey, Calif. She worked as an operations director for a dry ice company. Lisa was a member of the USBC Women’s Bowling Association for six years. She was currently serving as a director of the Lake Havasu Bowling Association, loved traveling to bowling tournaments and also enjoyed volunteering. Lisa enjoyed going to Laughlin, Bluewater Casino and across the river to gamble. She also enjoyed collecting Angels, playing bingo and ran bunco at the Senior Center. Lisa is survived by her son, Sergio Sanchez, of Norwalk, Calif.; daughter, Amanda Sanchez, of Los Angeles, Calif.; parents, Richard and Charlene Sugamele Sr., of Lake Havasu City; brother, Rick Sugamele and wife Patti, of Lake Havasu City; sister, Lindee Stauty and husband Richard, of Dalton, Minn.; aunt Adrianne and uncle Don, Okla.; aunt Nicky and uncle Chip, of Lake Havasu City; cousins, Joey and Barbara Sugamele and Roger and Amy Sugamele, all of Lake Havasu City; Denise and Tom Chappel, of Kingman; and many more and also many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at Lietz-Fraze Chapel Saturday at 4 p.m. Pastor Richard Tatham will offer words of comfort and inspiration.
