Mary K. Luksa passed away on Friday, June 25, 2010 at Wickenburg Hospital after a lengthy illness.
She was born Dec. 13, 1918 in Hancock, Mich., to Colette and Richard Dwyer. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband John; sisters Bobbie Dwyer and Dorothy Megalla, and brother Richard Dwyer.
She is survived by her sister Bets Payton of Wickenburg.
Mary and her family moved to Chicago when she was 5 years old. She graduated from Taley High School in Chicago and was further educated in business school and worked as an accountant for the federal government.
She and John were married in St. Philomena on Oct 28, 1950 in Chicago. They moved to Glen Ellen, Ill., and then to Wickenburg. She and John enjoyed camping and the summers with nieces and nephews. Both were members of St. Anthony Church, The American Legion, and the Wickenburg Elks Lodge 2160.
Mary will be missed by all who knew her.
Burial will take place in the Wickenburg Cemetery. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at a later date. Arrangements were made by David's Desert Chapel Funeral Home in Wickenburg.
