CROWE, Luther William Sr.


CROWE, Luther William, Sr., son of William Crow and Mary Baldwin Crow, was born on April 15, 1922 in Lexington, Missouri and passed away during the night of June 24, 2010 at his home in Lakeside, Arizona. Luther served in the Army Air Corp during WWII as a gunnery instructor and flight engineer. After the war, he worked for General Motors in Kansas City for 13 years, before moving to Tucson with his family in 1958. Luther retired from Anamax Mines and retired to Lakeside Arizona in 1985. With Caroline, his wife of 67 years, he built the house they've lived in for the past 25 years. Survived by five children, Luther (Bill) Jr. (Lynda), Ron (Sheila, deceased), Keith (Suzanne), Cheryl (Cathy), and Alan (Robin). Preceeded in death by infant daughter, Mary Louise Crowe. Also survived by nine grandchildren and six great- grandchildren. Luther was a volunteer for St. Vincent De Paul for many years in Tucson and Lakeside.
