MENDOZA, Rachel

Rachel Lopez Mendoza was born August 27, 1930 and was called to embrace Jesus on June 25, 2010. Preceded in death by seven siblings; her parents, Manuel J. and Candelaria R. Lopez; daughter-in-law, Betty Rose Mendoza; and grandsons, Orlando and Diego Mendoza. Survived by her husband of 59 years, Frank "Kiko"; children, Frank, Jr. (Mary), Andrew (April) and Cecilia (Paul Cline); grandchildren, Allegra and Mia Mendoza, Jesse, Regina and Sabrina Mendoza, Adam, Anthony and Angel Rodriguez, Jeffrey, Chandler, Noah and Seth Cline; six great-grandchildren and one not yet born; sisters, Esther Romero, Alice Fortier and Artemisa (Larry) Brown; brothers, Albert (Connie) and Guillermo (Josie) Lopez, many nieces and nephews; and family and friends. Rachel was a 42 year member of American Legion Auxiliary #68, Knights of Columbus Columbiettes #1200 for 30 years and St. Ambrose Church. Visitation will be held Friday, July 2, 2010, 8:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m., with a Rosary recited at 9:00 a.m. at CARRILLO'S TUCSON MORTUARY (South Chapel), 240 S. Stone Ave. Mass will follow, 10:30 a.m. at St. Augustine's Cathedral, 192 S. Stone Ave. Interment at Holy Hope Cemetery. Arrangements by CARRILLO'S TUCSON MORTUARY, INC.
