MAY, Alicia

Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, AZ Wednesday, June 30, 2010 Mrs. Alicia May, age 77 of San Carlos, Arizona, passed away on Friday, June 18, 2010 at Hospice of the Valley, in Mesa, Arizona. She was born in San Carlos, Arizona on Nov. 22, 1932, the daughter of Norton and Alice (Long) Elgo. Alicia was lifetime resident of Arizona and a homemaker. She attended San Carlos Day School. She enjoyed reading, all sports, especially the Diamond Backs and Phoenix Suns, and wrestling. She also liked spending time at the Casino. Her favorite flowers were Hollyhocks and poppies. Alicia is survived by her children, Christina Grigsby, Hubert May, Yolanda Dann, Phillip May, Daniel May, and Tony May, Sr. all of San Carlos; her sisters, Nancy Stone of Miami, Arizona and Lorraine Alvarez of Beverly Hills, Arizona; her brothers, Melvin, Ferris and Johnson Elgo, all of San Carlos; 28 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren. Services were held on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in San Carlos. Interment is at Elgo Dam Cemetery in San Carlos. Assisting the family is Lamont Mortuary.
