TRAVIS, Gordon Dale

Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, AZ Wednesday, June 30, 2010 Gordon Dale Travis, age 46, of Miami, Arizona, passed away on Thursday, June 24, 2010 in Wheatfields. He was born in Poughkeepsie, New York, and lived in Arizona for many years. Gordon was a tow truck driver for American Auto. He was raised in Arizona, but lived in Idaho for a couple of years. He also worked as a mechanic and cabinet maker. He enjoyed collecting coins, guns, photography, spending time at the casino, and working with his hands. He raised his two step-children, Cassandra Pedro and Priscilla Montgold. Gordon is survived by his wife, Raymie Travis of Miami, Arizona; mother, Dawn Donovan of Alabama; sister, Tracy Chambers of Summerdale, Alabama; brothers, Lawrence “Larry” Travis of Wilcox, Alabama, and Paul Travis of Mt. Vernon, Washington; step-children, Cassandra Pedro and Priscilla Montgold. Gordon is preceded in death by his father, Paul Leonard Travis. Services were held on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at Lamont Mortuary Chapel. Assisting the family is Lamont Mortuary.
