Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona December 17, 1981 Margi Hopkins Wilke, 79, a former resident of Wickenburg, died in her home in Phoenix on Dec. 8 Said to have been the first woman reporter assigned to the city desk of the Arizona Republican (forerunner to the Republic), she joined the newspaper in 1924. Survivors include her husband Al Wilke; son William F. Wilke; two grandchildren; a sister and a brother. Services were held last week in Greenwood Memorial Park.
