HOFF, Mabel B.

Whitehall (WI) Times Thursday, September 10, 1925, p 1 Mrs Oscar F Hoff passed away at her home at Ettrick Wednesday, Sept 2, after several months of illness. Mabel Runnestrand was born Feb 13, 1894, in this village. She grew to womanhood here and was at all times highly admired by her acquaintances. The deceased had the misfortune of losing her parents in the early part of life, thus leaving the responsibility of caring for the younger members of the family entirely upon her. After attending school in this village she took a course in domestic science at the La Crosse Agricultural school. After finishing school at Onalaska she assisted for a time as clerk in the Iver Pederson store in this village. She also worked for a time on the local newspaper. She was united in marriage to Oscar F Hoff March 19, 1921. Two children were born to bless this union. Both children and husband, together with three brothers, mourn the loss of a fond mother, kind wife and loving sister. Funeral services were held Saturday at 1:00pm, Rev Urberg conducting the services.---Ettrick Advance
