The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 06/02/2006 Jeremy James Turley, 26, died May 28, 2006. He was born Aug. 8, 1979 in Holbrook. Jeremy lived in Phoenix with his 5-year-old son Gabriel and his best friend Robert Villa. Jeremy worked for Bashas' Distribution Center. He enjoyed many outdoor activities and spending time with his family and friends. He was an outstanding father, brother, son, and uncle. Jeremy was very close to two of his cousins, Lawrence Hatch and Richard Mewhinney, Jr. He had a very strong work ethic and a wonderful sense of humor. Jeremy is survived by his son, Gabriel Michael Turley; brothers Terence and Bryan (Delfina) Turley; parents, Larry and Star Turley; grandparents, William and Pauline Mewhinney; niece and nephew Rosa and Bryan Jr.; many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jewilene and Lamar Turley; cousins, James Hatch and Gabriel Mewhinney; aunt and uncle Denise and Earl Mewhinney. A memorial mass will be held Friday, June 2 at 2 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Holbrook. Owens Mortuary of Holbrook handled the arrangements.
