SHEIDOW, Elizabeth

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 06/02/2006 Elizabeth Sheidow, 85 of California, died May 30, 2006 at Navapache Regional Medical Center. She was born March 26, 1921 and raised in New York, she attended secretarial school. Following high school she worked as a secretary for a bank in Bronxville, N.Y. She then enlisted in the Army, where she served for 3 years, being discharged as a Captain. During her military service, she met and married Robert G. Sheidow in Greenborough, N.C. During their marriage, they moved to many different places because of Bob's military service. They went to New York, New Jersey, Okinawa, Saigon (where she taught English to Vietnamese women) and finally settling in California in their retirement. Elizabeth and Bob enjoyed their summers in Show Low for the past several years. She was a bridge director for the Venture Inn RV Park in Show Low. Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Bob Sheidow of Palm Desert, Calif.; daughter, Deborah Ann Paris of Longmont, Colo.; sister, Ruth Kellner of Los Angeles, Calif.; one grandchild and three great-grandchildren.
