The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 06/06/2006 Anita Louise Schwarz Hatch, a native Arizonan and lifelong resident entered into eternal rest May 13, 2006 in Phoenix. She was born June 16, 1937 in Globe. She spent her childhood in Gila County living in Miami, Globe and Peridot. She attended her 50th high school reunion in Oct. 2005. She celebrated with friends from Globe High School class of 1955. After graduation from high school, she continued her education at St. Joseph's Nursing School in Phoenix and received her nursing degree in 1958. Thus, began her nursing career that would last four decades. She semi-retired in 1997. After retirement, she moved to Lakeside and lived in the cabin built by her parents in 1955. She was very active during retirement; taking gourmet cooking classes, volunteering, becoming a member of the Friends of the Library in Pinetop, a member of the Historical Society, and a coordinator of Author's Day. Anita will be remembered as an independent woman always eager to learn. Her adventurous spirit, creative talents, humorous nature, artistic abilities, loving and caring personality will be remembered by friends and family. Her memory will be cherished by her children: W. Michael Hatch (Kate), Karla Hatch Bennett, Kimberly Hatch Ketcherside, and Timothy Hatch (Julie); her nine grandchildren, Jessyca Hatch, Chrislyn Wallberg, Stephanie Emberlin, Ryan Hatch, N. Cole Mayberry, Britney Mayberry, Austin-Novak, Charlotte Hatch, Koty Hatch; her sister, Carol Schwarz Lerner (Dick); her cousin, Dorothy Byrne (Bill); and six great-grandchildren.
