WADE, Audrey

Audrey Wade Audrey was welcomed "home" early June 29, 2010. Hopefully, you were blessed to have an "Audrey" experience. Whether it was at the Desert Museum, during the CROP Walk, at a CWU event, or at a family celebration, she made the time special. As an ardent nature lover, be it insect, flowers or birds, she was thrilled to share her passion and knowledge with others. Led by her faith in God and her 62 year marriage to Jim, her role as a cherished wife and partner, beloved mother of six, Steven (Karen), Cathy (Gail Hawker), Margaret, Paul (Laura), John (Erika) and Robert (Annette) and grandmother of 14 was as a confidante, teacher, adviser and kisser of boo-boos. Her love of reading, an eclectic love of music and the pleasure and joy she derived from interacting with her amazing grandchildren is her legacy. Come celebrate her life with us on Sunday, July 4, 2010, 2:00 p.m. at Christ Presbyterian Church, her church home since its founding in 1956. By all her names - Audrey, Audie, Mom, Nana, Grandma - we will carry her love in our hearts forever. To honor her memory, gifts to Christ Presbyterian Church, Arizona Sonoran Desert Museum, or The Nature Conservancy would be welcome. Published in the Tucson Newspapers on July 1, 2010
