Clara F. Cavaness, 79, Wickenburg, died Jan. 25, 1980, at her home in Wickenburg.

Born in Buffalo, Tex., Mrs. Cavaness and her husband, Elmer D. Cavaness, Sr., operated the Plaza Theater in Phoenix for 1918 to 1932.

Surviving are her husband, a son, Elmer Cavaness Jr.; two sisters, two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. 

Services were conducted Tuesday, Jan. 29, at the Wickenburg Funeral Home with Rev. Donald O. Chilton officiating and the VFW and American Legion participating.
