ELEFANTE, Genevieve (Jean)

Arizona Daily Star, 1 Jan 2003 Geneieve "Jean" Elefante Born November 28, 1929 in Brooklyn, N.Y. and married to Joseph Elefante on June 12, 1948. Mother of Patricia Elefante (Lombardi) (Tom) and the late Joseph Elefante Jr. (Suzanne). Grandmother to Terry, Gregg, Stacy, Joey, Tommy and Michael. Great-grandmother to Dean and Joseph. Brother, Thomas Duffy; nieces Maureen and Janice and nephews Thomas and Brian. As well as many other close relatives and friends. She moved from Wantagh, Long Island in 1972, and became co-owner with her husband Joe of Mama Louisa's Italian Restaurant in 1973. She was active with the Arizona Restaurant Assoc. and was an avid Bingo player. Throughout her life she was a caring and giving person. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Arizona Restaurant Assoc. Foundation - Educational Fund 465 W. St. Mary's #300, Tucson, Az 85701. Funeral Mass 10:00 AM, Saturday, January 4, 2003 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 215 S. Craycroft. Burial to follow in Our Lady of the Desert Cemetery. Friends may call from 1:00 to 3:00 PM and 4:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday, January 3, at Bring's Broadway Chapel, 6910 E. Broadway, with Rosary being recited at 7:00 PM.
