JURICIC, Robert A.


Robert A. Juricic Age 71, formerly of Joliet, IL, Glade Spring, VA, and Wilton CT, passed away December 23, 2001 in Tucson, AZ. He was born January 18, 1930 in Joliet, IL son of the late Albin J. and Theresa (Russ) Juricic. He graduated from St. Joseph's Parish Grade School in 1943, Joliet Catholic High School in 1947, and Marquette University in 1952 and he proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Bob married Rosemarie (Chuk) on September 13, 1958 at St. Joseph's Church in Joliet, IL. He retired from Olin Corp. in 1992 after over 37 years of service, and moved to Tucson, AZ in 1994. He served as a Eucharistic Minister at Santa Catalina Catholic Mission Church, and was a member of KSKJ Lodge #2, and AFU Lodge #66. Bob actively enjoyed golf and bowling, proudly played softball into his 70s with the SaddleBrooke Blues softball team, was an avid Chicago White Sox and Chicago Bears fan, and loved Polka music. He is survived by his wife Rosemarie; two daughters, Natalie (Steve) Schonefeld of Bishop, TX, and Michelle Jurisic of Tucson, AZ; three sons, Kenneth (Sharon) of Foster City, CA, Donald (Dawn) of Trumbull, CT, and Daryl, of San Diego, CA; three loving granddaughters, Ann and Elisa, of TX, and Taylor, of CA; and one beloved grandson, Nicholas, of CT. He is also survived by sister-in-law Helen (William) Irwin, of N. Chicago, IL; brothers-in-law Ted (Erma) Chuk, of Joliet, IL; Vlado (Sophie) Chuk and Alex (Shirley) Chuk of Tucson, AZ; Delores (Sam, deceased) Chuk, of Las Vegas, NV; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. His faithful pugs, Otis and Daisy, will miss him dearly. A Memorial Mass will be held at Santa Catalina Catholic Mission Church, on Friday, December 28 at 11 a.m. Cremation, as per his wishes, and interment at Our Lady of the Desert Cemetery following the Mass.
