Obituary, The Arizona Daily Star, 13 Mar 2004 Liza Manaloto Pesnell In loving memory of Liza M. Pesnell who died March 11, 2004. She was born in Angeles City, Philippines and was a resident of Tucson for 30 years. Liza was an accomplished songwriter. Her song "Love Police" reached #21 nationally, and "Without You" reached #16 nationally. Liza also produced record albums and promoted concerts. Liza actively supported charities in Tucson, and througout the world. She sponsored children, made donations to food banks, and sponsored celebrity basketball games. She enjoyed traveling snorkeling, fishing, and shopping. Liza is survived by her mother, Manuela Manaloto; brother, Ron; sisters, Rossana, Zee, and Shirley; three nieces; three nephews; two godchilden; and her loving husband, David Pesnell. Funeral Mass 1:00 p.m., Monday, March 15, 2004 at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, 1375 S. Camino Seco. Interment will follow in Our Lady of the Desert Cemetery. Arrangements by BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway.
