STOPANI, Jacqueline Y (Jackie)

Obituary, Arizona Daily Star, Easter, 27 Mar. 2005 Jacqueline Y. "Jackie" Stopani,64, went to be with the Lord unexpectedly on March 18, 2005. She was preceded in death by her brother, James Challenger. Jackie is survived by her husband, David Stopani; son, Chuck (Brenda) Stopani; mother, Caroline Challenger; brother, Terry (Barbara) Challenger; granddaughter, Jilliana Stopani; nephews, Charles Challenger and Alan Conger and special friend, Mary Christensen of Minnesota. Jackie was the recipient of two very successfully kidney transplants from two very special heros, her brother, Terry in 1993 and most recently from a very special lady, Mary of Minnesota. Our hearts go out to both of them for their gift of life to our family. Jackie had a warmth and kindness that cannot be measured in words - she touched and blessed everyone she met and will be dearly missed by her extended family and friends. Jackie's greatest joy was her family, especially her granddaughter, Jillana. she will always be our guardian angel. Jackie was retired from a career in the restaurant business that spanned close to 40 years. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made in Jackie's name to the educational foundation at St. Joseph Parish. Friends may call at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 28, 2005. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Our Lady of the Desert Cemetery.
